SACRED MIRRORS: Dances of Connection & Transformation

“I think of dance as a constant transformation of life itself.”
_Merce Cunningham

In dance, as in life, we are both individuals and at the same time part of the whole. The dance of life creates moments in which we are reflections of each other. These are sacred mirrors – we move in resonance, flowing, adapting and enhancing the subtle shifts of life between us. When we truly see and feel another, we awaken a deeper understanding of ourselves.

In dance we can explore the polarities between contrast and unity, between the singular and fusion. Engaging, synchronising, and losing ourselves in the dance with another is an invitation to dissolve the illusion of separation, embracing the fluidity of our interconnectedness. In the space of connection, transformation happens – not by force, but through presence and response in our dance.

This is not a rational path. When we surrender to the dance, we find at the core of our being and ancient rhythm of life. This organic intelligence sustains us, guides us, and emerges as a beautiful expression of life. When we dance from this place, we meet the other with openness, we integrate and harmonise, allowing us step by step, breath by breath to evolve into an ever-unfolding of our unique expression.
